Rapture Debate
Messianic Apologetics editor John McKee discusses some of the changes which he went through from 1995-1997, in shifting toward a post-tribulational eschatology. How does the idea of enduring through the end-times, change your worldview? He reflects on some of his experiences since.
Is there agreement or disagreement between the blowing of the trumpet, depicted in: Matthew 24:29-31; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52; Revelation 11:15?
J.K. McKee of Messianic Apologetics responds to three categories of questions: Tanach (OT), Apostolic Scriptures (NT), and theology/Biblical Studies.
1. Can people who believe in evolution be saved?
2. Is it true that “works of law” does not mean Torah compliance, generally?
3. How do you as post-tribulationists respond to the claim that we are spared from God’s wrath?
J.K. McKee of Messianic Apologetics responds to three categories of questions: Tanach (OT), Apostolic Scriptures (NT), and theology/Biblical Studies.
1. Please tell me what the controversy is surrounding the Genesis 5, 11 genealogies.
2. Yeshua spoke to Mary Magdalene about their God.
3. Yeshua promises that Believers are spared from the hour of testing. This is strong support for a pre-tribulation rapture.
It is not without reservation that we explain why we hold to a post-tribulational view of the gathering of the saints. This is by far the most controversial position one could take, as we are saying that Believers may be forced to give up their lives one day for the cause of the Messiah and face the antimessiah/antichrist.
Responding to: “50. No passage dealing with the resurrection of saints at the second coming in either Testament ever mentions translation of living saints at the same time.”
Responding to: “48. At the rapture Satan is not bound, while at the second coming Satan is bound and cast into the abyss.”
