âTherefore, let us fear if, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you may seem to have come short of it. For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard. For we who have believed enter that rest, just as He has said, âAS I SWORE IN MY WRATH, THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY RESTâ [Psalm 95:11], although His works were finished from the foundation of the world. For He has said somewhere concerning the seventh day: âAND GOD RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORKSâ [Genesis 2:2]; and again in this passage, âThey shall not enter My restâ [Psalm 95:11]. Therefore, since it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly had good news preached to them failed to enter because of disobedience, He again fixes a certain day, âToday,â saying through David after so long a time just as has been said before, âTODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTSâ [Psalm 95:7-8]. For if Joshua had given them rest, He would not have spoken of another day after that. So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from Hisâ (NASU).

âYeshua the Messiah is the same yesterday and today and foreverâ (NASU).
âBut you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, to the general assembly and [assembly] of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Yeshua, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abelâ (NASU).
âTherefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Yeshua, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heartâ (NASU).
âTherefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Yeshuaâ (NASU).
âEvery priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins; but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD [Psalm 110:1], waiting from that time onward UNTIL HIS ENEMIES BE MADE A FOOTSTOOL FOR HIS FEET [Psalm 110:1]. For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctifiedâ (NASU).
